It was wonderful seeing many of you at the WOCN® Conference in Philadelphia. Please check out photos from our membership meeting and general conference on our website.

As summer moves on, your board is hard at work. We have decided to develop a centralized conference planning committee to work with a professional event planner to plan our regional conferences. It was decided at our membership meeting to form a task force to create the parameters of this committee. Stay tuned for more details.

The deadline is fast approaching for scholarship and award applications. In addition to WOCNEP and advanced practice scholarships, there is a new scholarship for mission work. Do you have an industry partner who has been helpful to your practice? Nominate them for Manufacturer of the Year. Also consider recognizing a colleague for WOC Nurse of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, or one of our other awards. Applications and requirements are on our website, the deadline is August 15.

Election time is here: we are electing 4 board positions: President-elect, Secretary, Director 2 and Director 4. Please exercise your right to vote!!

Last but certainly not least, preparations are underway for the Wild and Wonderful Wound, Ostomy and Continence Care Conference in Morgantown West Virginia September 13 – 15. You can register from our website or a link in the newsletter. I hope to see you there!
