Dear MER Members,

I hope everyone is enjoying summer.  We had a good turnout at the MER membership meeting in Montreal. The Mideast region is fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers and members.

There was a great discussion around the MER Website redesign and management project.  Director 1, Debra Crawford began the RFP (Request for Proposal) process in November after the fall membership meeting. When the board met in March, we reviewed the proposals and recommended a company.

After dialogue, the membership would like more information regarding sustainability and to ensure that the board volunteers are well educated on the site now and in the future.   A task force was appointed to continue with the work that has been done.

When the task force has completed its work, an informational video (and voting ballot) will be sent to our membership.  Please be sure to review the information and cast your vote.

Congratulations to our 2 Poster Award recipients. They each received $250.00.

    • Honey Lynn Lerias – Management of Necrotic Wounds: A systematic Approach Results to a Better Patient Outcome and Cost
    • Jane Theriault – Identify Gaps in Ostomy Care Across the Continuum
